They stored my bags while I hiked to Machu Picchu. Just a bummer about the inconvenient door situation with the reception 😊

Really helpful staff, had quite comfortable stay!!!
It was a well priced hotel in a lovely area, near to the main square, San Pedro Market, to a supermarket and other interesting places, and the Plaza de las Armas. The location was absolutely perfect and excellent and I could use private parking on site.

The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, which can be a relief after a long day of exploring. Hot water in the shower is a nice touch, though it can run cold after a few minutes.
Noise at night can be an issue, especially with people coming and going for early tours at 3 AM. The beds creak quite a bit. Pillows are too hard for comfort. The bathroom shows signs of wear, with a ceiling that could really use some attention. If you're in a quadruple room, don't expect consistent hot water for everyone. After a two-day hike, that can be pretty frustrating.

Affordable and just a short walk to the main square. My 11yr old daughter and I were very comfortable and hostal was clean and pretty with plants. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

I liked that Hostal Mallqui replied to my questions prior to the trip promptly and in English. They also sent a complimentary taxi to pick us up from the airport. They also serve complimentary breakfast with the option of one egg, a fruit salad, coffee, and fresh squeezed orange juice. The place is clean and the internet is free.
Because we stayed at Hostal Mallqui for the purpose of acclimating to the altitude prior to our 9 day trek to Machu Picchu, we packed light...therefore we did not bring an alarm clock with us. Unfortunately, the room that we stay at (which was very clean and comfortable) did not have a clock in it. So not only did we not have an alarm, but we also had no clock to check the time. Just a note to travellers...at night it is very loud, so bring earplugs.

Wi-Fi was very poor, made me a little nervous.

A commendable fit for strolling in Cusco with good value for cost. The staff was very friendly and accommodating . Try to request a room away from the street for a quieter experience.

The Standard Double or Twin Room was spacious and had super comfy beds, great after all that exploring. It had a heater that worked overnight, keeping things cozy. The bathroom was perfectly clean with hot water, but the pillows were a bit hard for my taste.
